Jeane is a home-bound senior who moved to San Francisco in 1963. She talks about her experience getting involved in the women’s movement, and absorbing all of the different radical ideas in the area at the time. She wants younger people to know that current activism has its roots in a lot of things that happened in the '60s and '70s.
May is Older Americans Month and we're sharing stories from San Franciscans 80 years and older as part of the "80 Over 80" project.
