On Christmas morning from 10am to noon, KALW will continue its tradition of broadcasting A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a live service of spoken-word and music (choral and organ) broadcast from the chapel of King's College in Cambridge, England.
The 30-voice King's College Choir performs the legendary Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service of Biblical readings and music.
This year, a new carol has been written and composed for the service. Written by Hungarian-born poet George Szirtes, it was inspired by the plight of refugees trying to make their way to Europe.
Hosted by Michael Barone.
