Born in St. Louis to Sri Lankan parents, Bay Area-based singer-songwriter Bhi Bhiman pairs songs about immigration, history, race and global politics with a blend of bluesy pop, Caribbean-infused folk, Motown-inspired urban soul, and psychedelic garage rock. The San Francisco release show for his new record, Rhythm & Reason, is Saturday 6/27 at The Independent. He joins host Devon Strolovitch live in the studio this Wednesday 6/24 at 9 pm.
