How should we address the issues that led to the tragic Ghost Ship fire, which took the lives of at least 36 people?

There have been rising concerns about how the fire will affect the limited amount of spaces for artists to live, work, and gather. The devastating loss of life has many talking about how the lack of affordable housing forces people to live in unsafe spaces like Ghost Ship. How are Bay Area communities responding?
