Radio Poets 2018: Santos Dzib, "My Color Brown"
My Color: Brown
By Santos Dzib, Sanchez Elementary School
Brown feels like a sugary chocolate cake melting in your mouth.
Brown smells like wet mud after it rains.
Brown looks like the Mayan pyramids of my ancestors.
Brown sounds like a mad growling bear trying to protect its habitat.
Brown tastes like the warm mole my mom cooks.
