Even if you are not on Tinder or Hinge, it’s very likely that you know someone who is on these apps… or in a relationship that started because of them. Dating apps are now the most popular way to meet a potential partner.

But there are some downsides. Some people lament that the apps have made it harder to meet people in real life. There are concerns about privacy. And then there’s safety.
