On the Mar. 2, 2014 edition of Work with Marty Nemko, I began by my documenting the oversupply of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and law school graduates and the need to consider under-the-radar albeit less prestigious careers. I also did a number of three-minute workovers on callers, notably disabusing a caller about the income potential for a career in voiceover, advice for a good but not superstar who aspired to a career in neuroethics, another on medical advocacy, and a great call from an employer of graphic designers who made clear that there are six-figure jobs aplenty for graphic designers willing to work for a corporation and with the intelligence to translate a piece of hardware or software's competitive advantages into graphically compelling images.
Work with Marty Nemko is heard Sundays from 11 am to noon here on KALW, 91.7 FM.
