This week on Open Air, KALW’s radio magazine for the performing arts in the San Francisco Bay Area, host David Latulippe talks with Bay Area native Suzanne Grodner (pictured), who is part of the touring production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, currently at the Golden Gate Theatre (through June 9). 

Legendary folk icon Pete Seeger would have turned 100 years old on May 3, 2019.  In honor of Pete, his good friend Pat Humphries (of the duo Emma’s Revolution)  joins us in-studio this Saturday at 3 pm.  

Join us this Saturday (1/19) at 3 p.m. for music and conversation with Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey, two members of the iconic trio.

Kevin's first guest will be singer/songwriter /guitarist Garrin Benfield.  You can learn more about his music at his website, http://www.garrin.com/.  Then the final hour, we'll celebrate Pete Seeger's birthday.  He would have been 95.  David Dunaway, Pete's biographer, will come in and share a chapter from his radio series about Pete, "How Can I Keep From Singing?" and announce a new website called "Remembering Pete Seeger".
