This week on Open Air, KALW’s radio magazine for the Bay Area performing arts, host David Latulippe talks with Rinabeth Apostol (pictured, right) and Ryan Drummond (left), who are the lead actors in the San Francisco Playhouse production of Groundhog Day the Musical, which runs through January 18, 2020 at SF Playhouse (450 Post Street) in San Francisco. 

This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe is joined by raconteur and funnyman Will Durst for talks with actor Jason Graae, who stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in 42nd Street Moon’s production of the witty musical ‘Scrooge in Love’.   Also, highlights of the holiday concert season which includes a screening of "It's A Wonderful Life" and "A Broadway Christmas with Brian Stokes Mitchell" with the San Francisco Symphony. Baroque Ensemble Magnificat's conductor and artistic director Warren Stewart is back to talk about the ensemble's performances of a Mass for the First Sunday of Advent by Johann Sebastian Bach, this weekend in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco.  Plus regular contributor and critic at large Peter Robinson reports on the state of the theater scene in London and has some reviews and upcoming events that deserve attention.
