Indigenous People’s Day

On this edition of Your Call, we are marking Indigenous People’s Day by rebroadcasting our conversation with Dr. LaNada War Jack, author of Native Resistance: An Intergenerational Fight for Survival and Life. Dr. War Jack, a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribes, was the first Native student at UC Berkeley in 1968 and one of the leaders of the Occupation of Alcatraz in 1969.

On this edition of Your Call, we’ll mark Indigenous People’s Day by rebroadcasting our conversation with historian Benjamin Madley, author of An American Genocide: The United States and the California Indian Catastrophe, 1846-1873.
