Your Call: Media and the legacy of oil spills

On the May 20th edition of Your Call, it’s our Friday Media Roundtable. This week, we’ll discuss coverage of President Obama’s decision to open the Arctic to oil and gas drilling. This week, Seattle activists used their kayaks to stop Shell from docking at the port and then continuing on to the Arctic. We’ll also discuss the latest oil spill in Santa Barbara, the possibilities of a spill in the Arctic and the environmental impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. We’ll be joined by Huffington Post’s Kate Sheppard and investigative journalist Antonia Juhasz.

On today’s Your Call, we’ll have a conversation about the massive Chevron oil refinery fire in Richmond , which sent smoke clouds over large portions of the Bay Area.
