The International Congress of Youth Voices is taking place this weekend in San Francisco. It’s the brainchild of author and educator Dave Eggers along with Amanda Uhle, bringing together 100 students to talk with famous writers, activists, and elected officials. Youth delegates are coming from Honduras, Iceland, Iraq, Syria, Zambia and other countries around the world.

This week on Open Air, KALW's radio magazine of the Bay Area performing arts scene, you'll hear about the Central Works production of "Edward King" written and directed by Gary Graves, a new comedy about finding your roots.  Liss Fain talks about the Liss Fain Dance premiere of "Known Once" based on stories collected in partnership with 826 Valencia as well as The Redwoods, a mixed-income residential community for seniors in Mill Valley; actor Adam Strau
