Afghan special forces stand guard at the site of a suicide car bomb explosion that killed at least four people, on the outskirts of Kabul, Afghanistan, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019.

On this edition of Your Call’s Media Roundtable, we’ll go to Kabul, Afghanistan to discuss coverage of US negotiations with the Taliban, and the ongoing violence against the civilian population. With so much attention back on Afghanistan, where are the voices of Afghans almost 18 years after the United States invaded in response to 9/11?

Later in the show, we'll discuss an investigation led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists about a vast bribery operation by Odebrecht, the largest construction company in Latin America.
