On this edition of Your Call, we’ll speak with independent journalist David Daley about the US Census and the future of partisan gerrymandering.
Eleven days after a divided Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration’s decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census violated federal law, Donald Trump says he wants officials to add the question despite the ruling. Daley says Republicans are fighting to add the question to maintain conservative power in a changing nation. We’ll also talk about how to fight partisan redistricting in light of another explosive Supreme Court decision, which gives a green light to the most extreme form of gerrymandering.
