What's being done to address inhumane conditions in detention centers?

The entrance of a Border Patrol station in Clint, Texas. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has said the agency is quickly removing children from the patrol station following reports that children locked inside were in a perilous situation.

 

 

On this edition of Your Call, we’ll discuss reports of deplorable conditions inside immigration detention facilities in the US. 

Inspectors and advocates are warning of dangerous overcrowding – inspectors at one facility reported as many as 900 people being held in a facility designed for 125. At another facility, detainees were unable to access showers and toilets. Children are caring for infants detained with them. What's being done to address inhumane conditions inside border facilities?
