On this edition of Your Call, we’ll hear stories of individuals affected by hate. Community activist and civil rights lawyer Arjun Singh Sethi chronicled survivors’ stories in his book American Hate: Survivors Speak Out.
The testimonials are presented in the survivors’ own words, describing how bullying, discrimination and violence have surged under the bigoted rhetoric and policies of the Trump era. The narrators represent diverse races and include transgender and queer people, undocumented immigrants, refugees, and people with disabilities. How are targeted communities responding to rising xenophobia and racism?
