One Planet: Who controls our seeds?

(c) Javier Carrera – Feria de Semillas Cotacachi 2003";

  On this edition of Your Call’s One Planet Series, we’ll have a conversation with investigative journalist Mark Schapiro about his new book, Seeds of Resistance: The Fight to Save Our Food Supply. More than half of all commercially-traded seeds have fallen under the control of just three multinational agrochemical companies.

Schapiro takes us to the frontlines of the struggle for seed sovereignty in the face of unprecedented climate volatility and the consolidation of seed companies. How can we protect our food supply?

Mark Schapiro, award winning investigative journalist specializing in the environment, and author of Seeds of Resistance: The Fight to Save Our Food Supply
