Your Call: What can be done to fight Islamophobia?

Instagram
Responses on social media to terror attacks

On the December 2nd edition of Your Call we’ll discuss the rise in Islamophobia.

Since the Paris attacks, many young Muslims have taken to social media to express sympathy for the victims and condemn ISIS's actions. They've held up signs reading #NotInMyName, #IamMuslim, and  #MuslimsAreNotTerrorists. Meanwhile, daily reports of Islamophobic acts throughout North America and Europe continue to surface. These range from “Middle Eastern looking people" removed from flights to quell the fears of passengers; to Mosques vandalized and set on fire; and individuals attacked and called terrorists.

What can be done to fight Islamophobia? On today’s Your Call with Hana Baba and you.
