Your Call: What happens when DNA testing is used unwisely?

On the November 19th edition of Your Call we'll discuss our unquestioned faith in DNA testing.

In her new book, Inside the Cell: The Dark Side of Forensic DNA, NYU Professor Erin Murphy questions the widely held belief that forensic DNA is an infallible science. It has been a savior for the over 300 men and women who’ve been exonerated, but she argues, it also has flaws. The same broken criminal justice system that created mass incarceration now has a new and powerful weapon in its arsenal. What happens when DNA testing is used unwisely? Is there a better way? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guest:
Erin E. Murphy author of Inside the Cell, the Dark Side of Forensic DNA and NYU School of Law professor
