On the September 17th edition of Your Call filmmakers from the documentary Racing to Zero join us to talk about San Francisco’s commitment to meet its zero waste goal by 2020.
San Francisco is among few cities in the country aggressively trying to reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfills. But in 2014 it sent more than 450,000 tons of trash to landfills - an increase from its recent downward trend. Is it possible to create a zero waste culture? How do we divert 100% of waste from landfills and to other streams that allow for use in new ways?
