Meet The One-Man Mobile Butcher That Is Keeping Meat On The Menu

John Taylor
One-Shot Johnny on the Job

John Taylor, also known as One Shot Johnny, is a mobile butcher. He’s always considered himself essential. But as some of the largest COVID-19 outbreaks have forced some large slaughterhouses to temporarily close, John has never been busier. In this installment of "The Essentials," John gives KALW's Victor Tence an intro to mobile butchery.

"Our mainstay is the customers that want their animals treated right. You know, it's kind of ironic we're killing them and eating them. But let's do it humanely. Let's give the animal a good life. And when we're done, we'll put them in our freezer." - John Taylor, a.k.a. One Shot Johnny.
