Today’s local music is by Queen Makedah of El Sobrante. She’s one of four performers taking part in an event called Empress Meditations. The purpose of Empress Meditations, they say, “is to highlight the works and message of conscious female artists in reggae and world music.”
“Empress Meditations” takes place on Friday (03.27) at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, starting at 9pm.
