Today we're featuring Ken Ueno, a composer and vocalist, currently on the faculty at UC Berkeley. He specializes in what is known as “extended techniques,” such as overtones and Tuvan throat-singing. Next Tuesday, April 16th, he joins two other Bay Area musicians who use “extended techniques” as part of the “SF Sound Salon Series.” This takes place at the Center for New Music on Taylor Street in San Francisco. And please note: the performance begins at 7:49pm.
