Binah: Mary Ellen Hannibal and Edward Albee

hannibal_maryellen_0.jpg

Science and culture writer Mary Ellen Hannibal traces the tech-enabled citizen science movement to the centuries-long tradition of amateur observation by writers and naturalists, in her new book Citizen Scientist.

This episode ends with a tribute to legendary playwright Edward Albee who appeared in conversation with Berkeley Repertory Theatre artistic director Tony Taccone on Binah in 2009. Albee passed away in September at the age of 88.

David Kwan is the editor and producer of Binah, featuring remarkable artists and thinkers who’ve come to speak at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco as part of their Arts & Ideas program.
