Have longer hours and more responsibilities become the new norm in the American workplace?

As abusive as some of the allegations are, they’re not uncommon. A Gallup poll found that fifty percent of respondents clock in more than 40 hours per week. And unused vacation time is at a 40-year high in the US. What does this mean for our lives – and for productivity?
