Your Call: A conversation with David Talbot on the rise of the CIA and America’s secret government

Feb 10, 2016

On the February 10th edition of Your Call, David Talbot joins us to discuss his new book,"The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government."

Mind control, torture, political assassination, and massive surveillance began under the reign of former CIA Director Allen Dulles. Talbot reports that Dulles manipulated and subverted the presidential administrations he served from 1953 to 1961 to push his own agenda. Talbot argues that the national security state is much more powerful today than it was under Dulles.

How much power does the CIA have over our democracy? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.
