Work with Marty Nemko, 6/18/17: The Burdens of Intelligence

Intelligence is often seen as an unmitigated good. But it brings challenges, especially in an intellectually heterogeneous workplace.

On the June 18, 2017 edition of Work with Marty Nemko, I discuss how to deal with coworkers and supervisees who aren't, well, the sharpest crayon in the box.  I also discuss other ways that intelligent people can make the most of their intelligence, including advice for underperformers. In the program's 2nd segment, I do Workovers on callers. Whatever career conundrum is besetting you or someone you care about, I can usually help.

Work with Marty Nemko is heard every Sunday on KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco and worldwide on kalw.org.

The programs are archived on NPR.org and on iTunes, and in perpetuity on this web page.
