Today's Local Music: San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus

The voices you’re hearing at the moment belong to the 300 members of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus. The chorus claims the title of the “world’s first openly gay chorus,” having started in 1978.

Their spring performance is called “Luster: An American Songbook," and Ann Hampton Callaway, noted practitioner of these songs, will be joining them.

The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus has two performances scheduled next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 25th and 26th at Davies Symphony Hall, starting at 8:00pm.
