Do you ever get the feeling that you’ve seen and heard it all? Then let us recommend Duckmandu.
Duckmandu, also known as Aaron Seeman, is a virtuoso on one of the most feared instruments in the world: the accordion. Duckmandu will cross the bridge from Oakland to perform at Doc’s Lab in North Beach on Thursday (01.08). It’s a free show, starting at 5:30pm.
The music you’re hearing now is by the San Francisco jazz/hip-hop trio known as The Broun Fellinis. They say of their sound, "We don't really write songs. We superimpose songified ideas.”
This week the Broun Fellinis will be superimposing their songified ideas on a collaboration called “ArtComplex Performances.” That's a series of structured improvisations with dance, live music and art installations.
