www.longestshortesttime.com
Listen to our interview with LST Host & Creator Hillary Frank

This week on KALW's showcase for the best stories from public radio podcasts and independent radio producers...

"Your Singing Really Interferes with My Going-to-Sleep-Process," produced by Hillary Frank for the podcast, WNYC's Longest Shortest Time, 2010.

Launched in 2010, by author and radio producer Hillary Frank, The Longest Shortest Time is an earnest, funny, and very human podcast about parenting. Subscribe to the podcast, and check out all of the parenting resources and other goodies the show's got going on at longestshortesttime.com.

This weekend, Hillary is bringing The Longest Shortest Time to the Bay Area for a few special events...

Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 p.m. -- Hillary interviews Roman Mars, live at Awaken Cafe in Oakland

Saturday, April 25th at 12:00 p.m. -- Speed Dating for Mom Friends, at Viracocha in San Francisco

You can snag tickets here.

"Billy Possum (Director's Cut)," produced by Roman Mars & Jon Mooallem, airing on 99% Invisible in 2011.

When Hillary mentioned Roman Mars, it reminded me of one of my favorite 99% Invisible episodes, all about an almost beloved kids’ toy. From the 99% Invisible archives, here’s Roman’s “director’s cut” of the story of the Billy Possum.

This story is based off a piece Jon presented at Pop Up Magazine, Issue 5, in San Francisco. You can find more episodes of 99% Invisible at 99pi.org.

This week's episode featured music from: Black Moth Super Rainbow, Django Reinhardt, and Amiina

If you have a suggestion for a podcast or an audio project we should feature, please drop us a line at thespot@kalw.org.

Tune in next week for another episode of The Spot, only on KALW San Francisco.
