This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with Artistic Director Celia Fushille about Smuin Ballet’s new dance season, which starts with performances at Walnut Creek’s Lesher Center for the Arts on September 23, before it travels to San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts. Paige Rogers, Artistic Director for Cutting Ball Theatre, stops by to share details about  ‘AvantGardARAMA!’, a sampler of short experimental works, which kicks off the season. Pianists-composers Anne Sajdera and Davide Verotta talk about two concerts with original and repertoire compositions for two pianos, in Oakland and San Francisco. And conductor Donato Cabrera brings us up to speed about the new season of the California Symphony, which opens this Sunday in Walnut Creek.
