'For Sama' Is An Intimate Portrayal Of The Deadly Siege Of Aleppo

On this edition of Your Call, Waad al-Kateab and Edward Watts join us to discuss their award-winning documentary For Sama, a first-person perspective of the uprising in Aleppo, Syria and a love letter from a young mother to her daughter. 

Waad Al-Kateab, a 26-year-old Syrian filmmaker, documents her life over five years during the brutal Assad regime as she falls in love, gets married, and gives birth to her daughter Sama.
