Media Roundtable: How solutions journalism makes news more accountable

Jan 4, 2019

On this week’s media roundtable: What if the news was more solutions oriented?

Rather than just focus on problems, solutions journalism provides rigorous reporting on responses to social problems. The goal is to help people understand problems and challenges and show potential ways to respond. From education and healthcare to housing and poverty, the Solutions Journalism Network believes that journalism can do better.

We'll also discuss coverage of the new Congress, the government shutdown, and immigration.

Guests:

Zenobia Jeffries Warfield, racial justice associate editor at YES! Magazine
