How is AIPAC shaping American politics?

On this edition of Your Call, we’ll discuss the function and impact of AIPAC. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s conference began this weekend in Washington DC.

Every year, the conference draws US politicians from both parties, but this year, several Democratic presidential candidates are skipping the event. According to Senate and House records, AIPAC spends $3.5 million a year lobbying federal lawmakers. How has AIPAC changed over time and how is it shaping US foreign policy?

Guests:

MJ Rosenberg, former AIPAC staffer and former Senate and House aide

Diana Buttu, attorney and policy adviser for Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network
