The Christmas Jug Band are stalwart purveyors of the jugabilly mystique -- a tongue-in-cheek seasonal convergence of San Francisco Bay Area luminaries.
Beginning as a small group of pals living in Mill Valley in the mid 70s with a penchant for Kentucky bourbon and continuing through this year's "Return of the Three Wise Men +4 -1" tour, the Christmas Jug Band are the kings of 100% acoustic folk-skiffle-swing holiday highjinks. The tour stats Friday in Petaluma and ends next week in Berkeley, so thune in this Wednesday 12/13 at 9 pm for, as the band puts it, "a sneak preview of the alternative holiday universe string theory!"
