Three firefighters have been injured northwest of the town of Paradise after fighting a wildfire that’s been burning since Sunday.
As of today, the Ranch Fire has burned six square miles, and about a third of the fire has been contained. Officials say all the injured firefighters have been treated and released.
In other fire news, the Kincade fire, which began burning more than two weeks ago, has been fully contained. The massive wildfire destroyed hundreds of homes and buildings, and forced nearly 200 thousand people to evacuate. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but investigators are looking into a PG&E transmission tower that still had electricity and malfunctioned near where the fire started.
