Global event designer Edward Perotti

Sights and Sounds is your weekly guide to the Bay Area arts scene through the eyes and ears of local artists. During shelter in place, instead of recommending in-person events, we're offering ways to experience art and culture from home. This week, host Jenee Darden speaks with global event designer Edward Perotti about three virtual events.

Golden Gate Park Virtual Concert Series

Just because we're stuck inside doesn't mean we can't spend some virtual time in the park. Stream Golden Gate Park's outdoor concerts from years past! This year is the 150th anniversary of one this iconic San Francisco park. Also check out their website for history of the park, podcasts and kids activities.

Smuin Contemporary Ballet, every Wednesday in April

For those who love ballet, this is a chance to experience renowned artists bringing some amazing performances. Hear dancers from this company give their personal insights to the week's performance.

BATS Improv Comedy Series, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m.

We could all use a good laugh, and this improv comedy series is the perfect vibe for what's going on in the world right now. One of this themes this weekend is online office drama, which some of us may be able to relate to.
