Now that the historic midterms are over, it is time to ask, “What’s next?”

Democratic representatives Anna Eshoo (CA-18) and Jared Huffman (CA-2) along with political science professor Eric Schickler join host Ethan Elkind for a discussion of the 116th Congress.

As Democrats prepare to take control of the House of Representatives, what role will California's 53- person strong congressional delegation play? Will Nancy Pelosi be our next Speaker of the House?

Anna Eshoorepresents the 18th District which covers San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties, including Silicon Valley. She has been a member of Congress since 1993 and serves as the senior member of the House Energy and Commerce committee.

Jared Huffmanrepresents the 2nd Congressional district which runs along the coastline from Marin County to the border of Oregon. Congressman Huffman has served in Congress since 2013, and serves on the Committee on Natural Resources and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

Professor Eric Schickler is the Jeffrey and Ashley McDermott professor of Political Science. An expert on Congress, Professor Schickler has won the Richard F. Fenno prize for his study of legislative politics and the Woodrow Wilson prize for best book on government and politics.
