On this edition of Your Call, we'll discuss how workers on the frontline of the coronavirus outbreak are being affected. What protections are in place for them, including paid sick leave and unemployment benefits?
Yesterday, people in six Bay Area counties including San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda were askedd to stay inside their homes and away from others as much as possible until at least April 7th. This is the first drastic measure to take place in the country. If efforts to flatten the curve are successful in the Bay Area, shelter in place policies will also happen in other areas.
