Sequoia National Park features some of the world's largest trees. The park climbs up Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the continental United States, reaching nearly 14,500 feet. This recording, by Bernie Krause with Wild Sanctuary, was made in a hot and dry oak forest at a lower elevation in Sequoia National Park.
