Many things divide a country, but it’s the overlooked, personal slights that hurt the most.

This is a story that’s all too familiar in America, a family split by immigration. A grandmother and grandson separated by an immigration law. But this time it’s happening in India. Writer and journalist Aatish Taseer lives in New York. His 90 year old grandmother who raised him lives in India. And he worries he’s never going to see her again.
