The Athletes Who Brought Down Larry Nassar & Exposed Those Who Enabled Him

(AP Photo/Sue Ogrocki)
It has been more than a year since University of Oklahoma star gymnast Maggie Nichols was revealed as Athlete A, the first to report the sexual abuse by Larry Nassar to USA Gymnastics.

On this edition of  Your Call, we rebroadcast our conversation with Abigail Pesta about her new book The Girls: An All-American Town, a Predatory Doctor, and the Untold Story of the Gymnasts Who Brought Him Down. In the book, we meet the brave young women who brought down Larry Nassar.

How did he get away with decades of sexual abuse? What happened to the people and institutions that enabled Nassar and failed these young athletes? And what has changed since this explosive story broke?

Guest:

Abigail Pesta, award winning journalist and author of The Girls: An All-American Town, a Predatory Doctor, and the Untold Story of the Gymnasts Who Brought Him Down
