Work with Marty Nemko: 8/30/18: What's it really like to be an arborist?

Many people would like a career in the outdoors but most of those require living outside the Bay Area, for example, in agriculture or forestry. One exception is to be an arborist, a person who plants and trims trees, sometimes very tall trees. What’s it really like to be an arborist?  On the Aug 30, 2018 edition of Work with Marty Nemko, I talk with Scott Wheeler of Urban Arborists, someone for whom money does indeed grow on trees, although it certainly has its ups and downs. (Groan). In the program's second segment, you can call in for a Workover. I'll try to help you with your work, career, or self-employment problem.

I'll also offer tips on seeming...and maybe getting smarter.

Work with Marty Nemko is heard every Thursday from 7 to 8 PM on KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco and worldwide on KALW.org.

The programs are archived on NPR.org, iTunes, and in perpetuity on KALW.org
