Broken Social Scene In Concert

Broken Social Scene is one of the most accomplished and acclaimed bands in indie-rock. Its dozen-plus members have made some of the best albums of recent years, either in side projects (Metric, Stars) or as solo acts (Emily Haines, Feist). Broken Social Scene presents the music of band member Kevin Drew in a full concert, recorded live from Washington, D.C. Nov. 18, 2007.

Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning formed Broken Social Scene in Toronto in 1999. The band's 2001 debut, Feel Good Lost, featured a rotating cast of Canadian artists who crafted sprawling, atmospheric rock with grand orchestrations.

By the time Broken Social Scene released its award-winning sophomore album, 2002's You Forgot It in People, the band had expanded to officially include Charles Spearin (Do Make Say Think), Evan Cranley (Stars), Emily Haines (Metric), Leslie Feist, James Shaw, Jason Collett, Andrew Whiteman (Apostle of Hustle), Amy Millan (Stars) and Justin Peroff.

Kevin Drew's Spirit If..., released this fall, is the first in a proposed series of solo recordings by Broken Social Scene artists, with support from various other group members.
