A SF Symphony Premiere ~ Strindberg plays at Cutting Ball

This week on Open Air, KALW's weekly program of arts and cultural affairs, host David Latulippe visits with Samuel Carl Adams, who is having his work "Drift & Providence" premiered by the San Francisco Symphony this week.  Plus, a talk with Rob Melrose and James Carpenter of the Cutting Ball Theatre, which opens its 13th season with a celebration of the chamber plays of August Strindberg.  (Original broadcast 9/27/12.)

Today's Local Music: Mark Goldenberg

Today we're featuring the melodic finger-style guitar of long-time session player Mark Goldenberg.

Goldenberg -- who has played lead guitar for Jackson Brown since the Nineties -- is one of a trio of guitar masters taking part in the Acoustic Guitar Summit on Sunday, September 30th, at the Freight & Salvage Coffee House in Berkeley. The show starts at 8pm.
