Selected Shorts

A celebration including readings by Selected Shorts founder Isaiah Sheffer, with special guest host Colum McCann.  Selections will include “Heart of a Champion” by T.C. Boyle, “It Had Wings” by Allan Gurganus, and “Dating Your Mom” by Ian Frazier.  Sunday at 5pm.

KALW continues its exclusive broadcast partnership with the Berkeley Symphony for a broadcast of their concert entitled "The Shadows of Time" (recorded in Zellerbach Hall on 1/26/12).  Music Director Joana Carneiro leads the orchestra in Debussy's Prélude à l'après midi d'un faune, Dutilleux's The Shadows of Time, and Shostakovich's Symphony No.
