Javier Valdez Cardenas is a Mexican reporter and author who received several international awards for his writing on drug trafficking and organized crime in the Mexican Drug War

It’s our media roundtable. This week, we’ll discuss the risks of reporting in Mexico, including the recent shooting death of the well-known Mexican journalist Javier Valdez.
