Your Call: Many people in the Bay Area survive by recycling. What are their stories?

DOGTOWN REDEMPTION
The Recyclers (from left to right) Landon Goodwin, Hayok Kay, Roslin Sanders, and Jason Witt

On the November 25th edition of Your Call, we’ll re-vist our conversation with  Amir Soltani about his new documentary Dogtown Redemption, which gives a voice to three recyclers in West Oakland. He’ll be joined by one of the recyclers, Landon Goodwin.

Alliance Metals is a recycling center in Oakland, California that has allowed many to survive, but it has to close its doors by August 2016 or face daily fines of $1,000. What impact will this have on recyclers? And what do you want to know about those who recycle in order to survive?

This show originally aired on October 15, 2015.

Guests:

Amir Soltani is the Producer and Co-Director of Dogtown Redemption.

Landon Goodwin is one of the recyclers in Dogtown Redemption and is now a minister.
