Pamela Price is an African American civil rights attorney who says she wants to create change in Alameda County's criminal justice systems.
She's currently running for Alameda County's District Attorney. The incumbent is attorney Nancy O'Malley.
Price's endorsement list includes Black Lives Matter co-founder Alicia Garza, former Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums, and civil rights icon Angela Davis, to name a few.
Price has been criticized for not having any experience as a prosecutor, and for stating that she would not prosecute misdemeanors, which prompted a protest rally by victims of domestic violence.
She spoke to KALW's Hana Baba about her candidancy.
