Sunday: Berkeley Symphony Broadcast

KALW continues its exclusive broadcast partnership with the Berkeley Symphony for a broadcast of their concert entitled "The Shadows of Time" (recorded in Zellerbach Hall on 1/26/12).  Music Director Joana Carneiro leads the orchestra in Debussy's Prélude à l'après midi d'un faune, Dutilleux's The Shadows of Time, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5.  Alan Farley hosts, with a pre-concert talk from Gabriela Lena Frank and a post-concert discussion with Maestra Carneiro about the coming BSO season.  Learn more about the program - including audio excerpts and notes on the program - here.  This Sunday at 4pm.
